Dr. “TEA” Traci E. Alexander is a powerhouse mom working in the media industry that spans three decades, an award-winning journalist for; BET, CBS News, Ebony.Com and Queen Latifah, garnering exclusive sit-down interviews with notable leaders and icons such as President Barak Obama, Alice Walker, Joy-Ann Reid and “The Queen of Soul” Aretha Franklin.
Dr. “TEA” is a woman of many firsts. Noted as the first Black woman to anchor the evening news for ABC in Central Louisiana, the inaugural Director of Development for Boys & Girls Club of Mount Vernon, NY, and most recently the first African American appointed to serve in leadership at Weill Cornell Medicine Development Office as a Principal Gifts Officer. Her research, resources and rolodex have catapulted her into a prominent role as a leader and professor in the fields of communication and leadership development specializing in Strategic Branding, Public Relations, Fundraising & Business Development for organizations dedicated to advancing social justice for women of color and underserved and marginalized communities.
Dr. “TEA” is a connector connecting people with passion to
causes with purpose. Her mission is to increase the number of men and women of color attaining advanced degrees in higher education through her love of literature. She is the Executive Producer of Dr. TEATV, which girds her passion to get and keep folks reading. Her work as The Book Producer spans the globe reaching international communities and organizations through the words and works of notable and unknown authors—determined to do the “work” to become bestsellers. Now heading Boss Books Imprint and serving as CEO of LITerature Lounge Inc., a bookstore dedicated to giving a voice and space to authors of color, Dr. “TEA” can now share her literary microphone with authors who are visionaries, and who have demonstrated extraordinary leadership and excelled in their respective field.
